Selected to Compete in Belgrade


The iconography competition Light of the Logos in Belgrade, Serbia, hosted by Kaleidoskop Media, just announced the list of finalists. From Kaleidoskop’s website:

The Call for Entries for the international juried exhibition Light of the Logos 2025 received 209 works by 134 artists, including 19 artists from abroad.
The Art Council, composed of Grigore Popescu-Muscel, a fresco painter from Romania; Dr. Tihon Rakićević, Vicar Bishop to His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Porfirije; Dr. Todor Mitrović, full professor at the Academy of the Serbian Orthodox Church for Arts and Conservation; and MA Biljana Cincar Kostić, curator and art historian at the Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church, selected 115 works by 91 artists.

In addition to Serbia, artists from Republika Srpska, Montenegro, the USA, Cuba, Romania, Latvia, Italy, Germany, Bulgaria, Greece, Belarus, and the Philippines submitted their works.

Two of my icons were selected for the exhibition. They appear in the list of finalists as follows:

  • Kai Yep, Stojeća Bogorodica (Standing Theotokos)

  • Kai Yep, Stojeći Hristos (Standing Christ)

The Light of the Logos exhibition will be held from August 26 to September 11, 2025, at the Gallery of the Kolarac Endowment, organized by the Kaleidoskop Cultural Center, under the blessing of His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije.
