Reliquary Icons
Patron: College of St. Joseph the Worker (Steubenville, Ohio)
Project Description: A set of 3 large reliquary icons with the motifs of the Vine, the Annunciation and the Dream of St. Joseph to be displayed at the college campus; and a collection of small single-figure reliquary icons.
Initial Proposal
The center piece is the icon of The Vine holding the relics of the 12 apostles. Side pieces are icons of the Annunciation to the Theotokos and the Dream of St. Joseph, which will hold 4 rotational reliquary icons as well.
Originally, the icon of the vine was going to be modified to accommodate more than the 12 apostles.
